The low level of insurance penetration in Nigeria reflects a limited culture of formal insurance and risk mitigation strategies. Informal methods such as mutual societies and community groupings partially fulfil this function in these markets.Agricultural insurance policies protect the farmer against unforeseen circumstances by way of indemnification, it also serves as securities for banks as indemnification for financial losses suffered by farmers from damages to their products and will provide funds for servicing such loans.

Oil and Gas

We are actively involved in a number of oil and gas upstream projects and have established strong partnerships with a variety of first class oil field service  contractors and service providers, Synterra ‘s main proposition is to provide local knowledge and down side risk mitigation for investment in Nigerian upstream capital projects.
